Who can Apply?
Anyone who meets the requirements mentioned above and possesses all the authentic documents can apply for the Germany Study Visa. Candidates wishing to get a Germany Study Visa must fulfill all the requirements and must have complete knowledge of how to apply and what are necessary documents etc. Some of the important documents and other requirements for International students are mentioned below:
- Duly filled out and signed national visa application form
- A valid national passport
- Birth Certificate
- Recent Passport-style photographs
- Proof of Financial Resources
- Proof of University Admission
- Student Health Insurance.
- University entrance qualification.
- Certificate of German or English Language Proficiency.
- Acceptance letter from a German university
- Transcript of academic record
- Declaration of the authenticity of documents submitted
- May also need proof of not having any criminal record and/or free of certain diseases.
The rules applicable for a German student Visa are:
- You are required to get a residence permit to stay in Germany for more than 90 days as a student.
- You are required to show funds worth €8,640 per year as proof of funds required for the cost of living in Germany.
- The residence permit is valid for a maximum of two years. It needs to be renewed if the duration of the course is longer than the stated two years.
- Students can work 90 days full time or 180 days halftime in an academic year. Presently, Germany is the only country where a student can pursue a part-time technical job in a related industry. Some universities also offer part-time jobs on campus called Hi/wi.
